YAML 1.2 with explicit JSON boundaries
The converter uses the YAML 1.2 core schema. Strings such as yes are not automatically treated as booleans as they can be in YAML 1.1. Duplicate keys, custom tags, non-string mapping keys and integers too large to preserve safely are rejected.
Data and presentation are different
JSON has no syntax for comments, anchors, tags or cyclic references. Supported aliases are expanded into data values under a processing limit. The report identifies comment loss. Converting the resulting JSON back to YAML cannot recover original comments, indentation or anchor names.
Use quoted strings for account numbers, identifiers with leading zeros or numbers requiring more precision than standard JavaScript numeric serialization retains.

Your input stays in this tab
Files and pasted values are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded, stored in your URL or saved to browser storage. Download the result if you want to keep it. CSV exports are limited to 1,000,000 cells and 20 MiB; large or sparse tables must be split. The site records aggregate page requests as described in the privacy policy.
