The source lists 190 named localities. These are retail price caps, not a live station-price survey. A station may charge less under the applicable pricing rules; check its displayed pump price. Zanzibar and unnamed places are not inferred from a nearby town. Wholesale prices use a different table and are not used here.

The official publication index is checked automatically, normally at most once every six hours per serving location. A new edition replaces these figures only after its date, units, complete locality list and prices pass validation. If a new edition cannot be validated, or the last successful review is over 72 hours old, the saved figures are marked historical. A publication older than 45 days is also marked historical. These are Contifield freshness safeguards, not legal expiry dates.

The calculation multiplies litres by the selected price, divides a budget by that price, or divides trip kilometres by your stated km-per-litre efficiency. The publication date, edition, source-check status and units remain with every downloaded result.
