Hong Kong named general holidays 2026

Check the 17 named general holiday dates gazetted for Hong Kong in 2026, including the Ching Ming and Easter Monday overlap, and export the published dates.

Published calendar edition · 2026 only. Covered dates: 2026-01-01–2026-12-31. The table and checker use the named publication and its stated scope.

Covered by this calendar

The 17 named general-holiday dates in the government’s 2026 gazette table. Every Sunday is also a general holiday under the source; this named-date export does not repeat the ordinary Sunday calendar.

  • This is the general-holiday list, not the distinct Employment Ordinance statutory-holiday list or a personal paid-leave entitlement.
  • Ordinary Sundays are a separate recurring general-holiday rule and are not duplicated among these 17 named entries.
  • A Saturday named holiday is retained on Saturday. No Monday replacement is invented for 26 September or 26 December.
  • School calendars, business opening hours, working rosters and dates outside 2026 are not inferred.

Date checks and exports run in your browser. Your selected dates are not sent to Contifield.

Start and end dates are inclusive. The range lists published entries; it does not calculate general working days.

ICS contains all-day entries for the selected dates, not a subscription or repeating rule. Imports will not automatically gain later amendments or another year. Provisional dates use tentative event status.

Sources and edition dates

This page is a reference to the following published 2026 schedule. It does not automatically create a future edition or incorporate an unpublished change.

The published table names 6 April as the day following Ching Ming Festival and 7 April as the day following Easter Monday; both dates are kept with their official identities.

The 2026 table names the first weekday after Christmas Day as Saturday 26 December. This edition does not rename it as Monday 28 December.

Year-end archives retain their original source scope and provisional labels. For a later year or an amended schedule, use a separately verified publication.
