Mauritius public holidays 2026 — amended reference

Check Mauritius’s amended 2026 public holidays, including 15 September Ganesh Chaturthi and the additional 9 November Divali holiday, preserving the source-marked lunar qualification.

Reconciled date reference · 2026 only. Covered dates: 2026-01-01–2026-12-31. This reference combines the named sources and calendar rules. It is not an annual government publication and does not establish dates outside its stated year.

Covered by this calendar

The national holiday entries in Prime Minister’s Office General Notice 611 of 2026, reconciled with the 2 October 2026 communiqué adding Monday 9 November after Divali.

  • Eid-Ul-Fitr remains provisional as expressly marked in the cited amended annual publication; no independent final moon-sighting confirmation is claimed.
  • Individual work, pay, opening hours, school holidays and locally appointed additional dates are outside this reference.
  • The October communiqué is applied to its explicit November dates. No retrospective February substitute holiday or blanket Saturday-to-Monday rule is inferred.

1 provisional entry. Provisional status stays attached to the checker, CSV and ICS exports. Source-stated uncertainty windows are shown without treating nearby dates as confirmed holidays.

Date checks and exports run in your browser. Your selected dates are not sent to Contifield.

Start and end dates are inclusive. The range lists entries in this reference; it does not calculate general working days.

ICS contains all-day entries for the selected dates, not a subscription or repeating rule. Imports will not automatically gain later amendments or another year. Provisional dates use tentative event status.

Sources used to compile this reference

The following sources and stated calendar rules were reconciled for the 2026 reference. It does not automatically create a future edition or incorporate an unpublished change.

The original General Notice 1195 of 2025 still appears on a consular website with 16 September. This edition uses the later 25 May 2026 correction instead.

The 2 October communiqué adds 9 November after the annual May edition; both 8 and 9 November are retained.

Two distinct observances share 1 February. They are preserved as two entries on one date, not counted as two separate calendar days.

A later calendar year requires its own verified edition.

Year-end archives retain their original source scope and provisional labels. For a later year or an amended schedule, use a separately verified publication.
