Subtitle time shift

Adjust SRT or WebVTT subtitle timing with a fixed offset and optional duration multiplier.

Runs on your device · No upload

UTF-8 text up to 5 MiB and 50,000 cues. Offset within ±86,400 seconds; multiplier greater than zero and at most 10. Cues must already be in chronological order.

Ready when JavaScript is loaded.

How to use it

  1. Load an SRT or WebVTT subtitle file.
  2. Set a positive offset to delay subtitles or a negative offset to advance them.
  3. Leave the multiplier at 1 for a fixed shift; change it only to correct proportional timing drift.

Offset and proportional drift

Each output time equals the original time multiplied by the timing multiplier, followed by the offset in seconds. A multiplier of 1 preserves spacing. A multiplier of 1.001 gradually lengthens the timeline. Results are rounded to the nearest millisecond.

Invalid timing stops the export

The tool rejects a shift that would create a negative start or zero-duration cue. It does not silently clip, delete or reorder subtitles. Cue text is kept, and the source format is retained.

WebVTT NOTE, STYLE and REGION blocks are rejected. The tool handles ordinary text cues and positioning settings, with no preview of the video itself.

CSV exports are limited to 1,000,000 cells and 20 MiB; large or sparse tables must be split. The site records aggregate page requests as described in the privacy policy.
